Description

Folios 79-80. Petition to Holderness, signed by inhabitants of Salisbury on behalf of Soloman Jacob, a poor travelling Jew; a native of the City of Berlin. Regards his sentence of transportation for stealing a burning glass valued at two shillings. Requesting that he may be permitted to return to his native country 'in Germany' with his wife and three small children.
