Family settlement, indented, between Thomas Wilcocke of Chester, saddler, on the one part, William Johnes of Chester, linen draper, on the second part, and Richard Broster of Chester, tanner, Thomas Sayer of Chester, line draper, and George Wause of Chester, feltmaker, on the third part, of messuages and tenements in Huntingdon, Christleton, and Boughton, Cheshire, and in the city of Chester, for the marriage between William Wilcocke, son of Thomas Wilcocke and Elizabeth Johnes, daughter of William Johnes, pursuant to articles of agreement concerning the marriage made on 26 March 1630, and in consideration of £220 paid cash down as a marriage portion. Signature of Thomas Wilcocke (missing seal). Witnesses:- John Johnes; Arthur Butler; Daniel Butler senior.
