Bargain and sale, indented, by Edward Foxe of Windle, Lancashire, gent, to Thomas Whitbie [Whitby] of Chester, alderman, of three plots of land in Boughton, Cheshire, called "Hoole Heath", in the occupation of Gilbert Eaton of Chester, beer brewer, "The Butterbache", and "Gorstill Crofte", both in the occupation of Francis Hawarden, gent, for £60, of lands to be held by an annual rent to the dean and chapter of Chester of £4 13s 7d. Signature and seal of Edward Foxe. Witnesses:- John Ratclyffe; John Hardware; Gruffudd Price; Robert Bennett.
Endorsed:- Edward Foxe appoints John Hardware and Thomas Ball of Boughton, gents, as his attorneys.
