Folios 372-373: John Phillimore, Atherstone, Warwickshire.
Writes to Sir Joseph, that he has been applied to by the Countess of Aboyne to get her son the Hon. George Gordon, discharged from HMS Euphrates into HMS Amphion, since he was a midshipman with Phillimore. Asks that they give the order, as Captain Bowles is ready to receive him and Captain Preston to discharge him if the Admiralty permits.
