Informs their Lordships that he had that day, 8 September 1815, given up the command of HMS Driver to Captain Ross and hopes they will have an opportunity to employ him in the future.
Folios 247-248: enclosure with folios 245-246. Algernon Percy, Portsmouth, dated 8 September 1815.
Explains that he had put one letter requesting leave of absence and another stating Captain Ross is able to take command of HMS Driver immediately in to the post bag by mistake.
