Folios 140-141: George Pringle, HMS Venerable, off Martinique.
Letter replying with some exasperation to yet another request as to the amount of effects of the deceased officers of HMS Amaranthe. He enumerates the number of times this information has been sent since 1810 and points out it would have been better if this had been dealt with while HMS Aramanthe was in Plymouth between October and December 1812 and the purser, Peter Pappeen, to whom he had delegated this task, was on board.
Folios 142-142A: enclosure with folios 140-141.
Duplicate copy of folios 140-141.
