Place of accident: Welshpool, Montgomeryshire.
Injury: Penetration to thigh.
Details of accident: Sockett was in the act of stepping backwards off tender on to footplate of Engine at Welshpool when his thigh came in contact with reversing lever catch the lever being in the backward gear, and the handle of the catch penetrated his thigh.
