Printed prize appeal from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Gibraltar.
Captured ship: Nuestra Senora de la Victoria (master Felix Jose de Souza).
Nationality: Portuguese.
History: bound from Passage [Pasaia] to Lisbon, laden with pitch, tar, wine and other goods; taken on 28 May 1806 by HMS Diana (Thomas Malling commanding), and brought into Gibraltar.
Appellant: 1) The master for the ship as Portuguese property on behalf of Benito Romao R de Sa Viana merchant of Lisbon.
Respondent: The captor and HMPG; 2) The captor v Thomas Storks, partner in Robert Anderson and Co merchants of Gibraltar for the cargo on behalf of several Poruguese subjects.
Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 30 November 1808 (folios 148-156).
Decision: 1) ship to be restored; 2) against the appeal of the captor for the cargo.
