Captured ship: Walfarden otherwise Mignonne (master Frederick Gravel).
Nationality: Swedish.
History: bound from Rochefort to Gothenberg via St Ubes, laden with salt for ballast, wearing apparel, small articles and a chaise; taken August/September 1800 by the privateer Comus (George Hocquard commanding), and brought into Jersey.
Appellant: Robert MacLagan of Messrs Chalmers and Cowie merchants of London on behalf of Peter Backman Swedish merchant of Gothenberg.
Respondent: The captor.
Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 25 November 1805 (folios 414-439) [no folios 413, 438].
