Printed prize appeal from the High Court of Admiralty.
Captured ship: Anna Catharina (master Frederick Jacob Wupper).
Nationality: Danish.
History: bound from Hamburg to La Guaira and Puerto Cabello, laden with linen, gin, wine, cheese, selzer water and other articles; taken on 7 October 1801 by HMS Driver (James Dunbar commanding), and brought into Great Yarmouth.
Appellant: John Christian Splitberger merchant of London for part of the cargo on behalf of Messrs Sontag junior and Freze merchants, subjects of Hamburg; and the remainder of the cargo on behalf of Conrad Radoloff burgher and subject of Hamburg.
Respondent: The captor and HMPG.
Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 16 November 1805 (folios 365-393).
Decision: against the appeal.
