Captured ship: Hoop (master Cornelis Bakker).
Nationality: Prussian.
History: bound from Amsterdam to London, laden with wheat, cheese and other provisions; taken on 22 July 1801 by HMS Jalouse (Hon Frederick Paul Irby commanding) and HMS Mareschal de Cobourg brig (Mason Wright commanding), and brought into Great Yarmouth.
Appellant: Gideon de Bie of London for the cargo of wheat on behalf of Messrs Brocksopp and Newman, merchants of London.
Respondent: The captors and HMPG.
Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 16 July 1805 (folios 304-319).
Decision: against the appeal.
