Captured ship: St Johannes (master Joachim Abraham Asmus Doltz).
Nationality: Swedish.
History: bound from Memel to Barcelona, laden with wheat; taken on 27 August 1799 by the privateer Spitefull or Spitfire (Robert Blair commanding), and brought into Lisbon.
Appellant: Henry Burmester of London, merchant for the cargo on behalf of Emmanuel John Henry Wallhoser of Altona, Danish merchant.
Respondent: The captor.
Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 9 June 1803 (folios 71-77).
Decision: cargo to be restored with interest.
