Folios 119-127. Draft letter marked secret from the Duke of Newcastle, Hanover, to the Earl of Holderness regarding the demands of the Elector Palatine and their effect on the election of the new Holy Roman Emperor. There are quotations from the Protocol taken at Hanover two years before. As soon as the support of Bavaria is ensured, the time of the actual election will have to be decided by their Imperial Majesties via a communication with His Majesty the King of Great Britain, 'His Serene Electoral Highness' the Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg. Britain preferring the negotiations to be held in Hanover rather than in Vienna; as soon as the French allied Electors are satisfied with their righteous claims France will then support King George in the election. The Palatinate Court [at Heidelburg] will also support Britain as soon as the Palatine Electorate is satisfied.
