Draft letter marked secret from the Duke of Newcastle, Hanover, to the Earl of Holderness regarding French acceptance of the King's offer to act as arbitrator in the matter of the Elector Palatine's demands on the Court of Vienna and the benefits arising. The Archduke Joseph, the Earl of Hyndford, Mr Keith, Monsieur de St Contest, Monsieur de Hautefort, Monsieur de Vergennes and the Duc de Mirepoix are mentioned. There is reference to the fief of Pleisting and 'quelque dedommagement pour la Comté de Falkenstein' [some financial compensation for the county of Falkenstein].
