E Briggs, Weaver's Hall, to Lovell Stanhope enclosing a narrative of the case of Thomas Beaven, senior ( a Quaker and bankrupt clothier formerly of Melksham Wiltshire) and copies of the deposition of Robert Harvey 5 August 1749; deposition of Thomas Whatley 5 August 1749; information of Joseph Earl 5 October 1749; information of Richard Fry 5 October 1749; memorial to the Duke of Bedford with reasons against permitting Bevan [Beaven] to return and to prosecute Josiah Knight 25 October 1749; advertisements published in the Bath Journal 9 - 30 July 1750; unanimous resolution of the Factors of Blackwell Hall 19 September 1750; letter from Fras [Francis] Yerbury 4 May 1752; reasons against permitting Beaven to return 11 May 1752.
