Deposition of Daniel Davies, tide surveyor of the Harwich Customs, Wm [William] James, Edward Hart, Joshua Narborough and Wm [William] Peace, boatmen, regarding the seizure of prohibited goods aboard the 'Helen and Margaret', Alexr [Alexander] MacIver master. A Mr Franchios is mentioned as having made false statements in his memorial about the seizure of the goods. [See also SP 36/118/1/103-107].
