Folios 17-18. Jean Mailly to James Payzant. Regards Payzant's letter to the Archbishop of Meath which recommended Mr Mailly to the vicarate of Tuam. However, the Archbishop refused his request to the appointment, so he is unable to get Mailly a position there. Mailly also mentions Mme d'Agar and admits that he doesn't understand why she keeps asking for a pension, as she already has £1,450 per annum and £400 in cash.
