Folios 206-207. Copy of the deposition of Beeston Long, merchant of London, that on 13 October 1749 he sent the documentation described to Edward Manning, Chief Judge of Kingston and one of the principal merchants of Jamaica to enable him to appear before the Governors of San Iago de Cuba, Havana and St Augustine de la Florida to claim restituton of the following ships and cargo the 'Alicant' galley' (Captain Francis Ross); the 'Fanny' (Captain Robert Macky); the 'Captain' (commanded by Peter Ham); the 'Mary (Captain Thomas Nesbit); the 'Gloucester' (Captain William Moore) and others not named taken by the Spanish since and after 9 August 1748, the date of cessation of hostilities betwenn Britain and Spain.
