Geo [George] Townshend to [Newcastle] pleading that John Jermyn's sentence be reconsidered in light of the enclosed copy commital order for Samuel Collington otherwise Cullington [whose evidence helped to convict Jermyn] and the petition signed by 23 inhabitants of Thurston, Suffolk who have also given their occupations. The certificate of Hamon L'Estrange and Tho [Thomas] Discipline accompanies the petition. Other names are [Thomas] Bartram, Edward Brookes, Samuel Barry, Richard Renwick, Benjamin Brandson, James Holt and William Browning.
