Description

Folios 127-128. Petition of Sarah Burridge 'the poor and disconsolate mother' of Robert Burridge under sentence of death for robbery. The petition has a certificate of humble recommendation signed by the churchwarden, overseers of the poor and other inhabitants of St James's Clerkenwell - 17 signatures including that of Matthew Segrave 'master of this unhappy lad'.
