Folios 67-72. Mr [James] West to Mr Aldworth enclosing a copy of a memorial from the Board of Ordnance to the Treasury regarding expenses incurred in their office for the new settlement of Nova Scotia. There is an instruction endorsed that Mr Aldworth is 'to prepare a letter to be sent at the very first opportunity to Governor Cornwallis to inform that it is his Majesty's pleasure, that he should in all respects conform himself to the method prescribed in this letter, reciting as may be the words made use of by Mr West in this letter'.
