Bargain and sale by Richard Whalley of Welbeck, Nottinghamshire, esq, Roger Martin, citizen and alderman of London, and Thomas Castlyn, citizen and mercer of London, to Elizabeth I of the house, site and demense land of the late abbey or monastery of Welbeck, now called the manor of Welbeck, and the manor of Norton, Nottinghamshire, in consideration of £2400 already paid to Martyn and Castlyn and an arrangement for Whalley to be paid the true value of the lands after four surveyors (two chosen by Whalley, two by the queen) have valued them.
