Bargain and sale by Robert Dudley, earl of Leicester, of the manor of Shuttington and rectories of Shuttington and Austrey, Warwickshire and Staffordshire, and the manor, cell or late priory of Alvecote, Warwickshire, in consideration of £5000 of a £15000 debt owed to the queen, for which he has already mortgaged his lands and estates in Denbigh, North Wales. Attached is an inventory and valuation of the lands surrendered by Dudley, a bond binding Dudley to Elizabeth for £5000, and a confirmation of the said bond. Sealed by Dudley. 22 Eliz I
