Marriage settlement negotiated between Thomas Barington of Barington Hall, Essex, and his wife Winifred on the one part, Sir William Cordell, knight, master of the rolls, Sir Henry Cromwell, knight, and Richard Waren of London, esq, on the second part, and William, Lord Burghley, Sir Walter Mildmay, and Gilbert Gerrard (on behalf of Elizabeth I) on the third part. Negotiating the terms, including the exchange of lands in Buckinghamshire (named), of a marriage between Francis Barington, son and heir of Thomas, and Joan Cromwell, one of the daughters of Sir Henry.
