Description

Letters patent claiming the lands of Sir Francis Englefield, attainted of High Treason in 1576, nullifying his earlier promise to grant the lands to Francis Englefield, his nephew and heir. Nullified through the gift of a gold ring to Francis Englefield the younger in the Court of Exchequer. Return by Richard Broughton and Henry Bourchier, esqs, executing this commission, attached. Sealed with the great seal of Elizabeth I. 31 Eliz I
