Folios 337-338: William Parker,Commander, HM Sloop Fly, Plymouth.
Captain Parker writes regarding a deserter, Timothy Hand, who ran from the Cornelia on 30 June 1813, in Dublin after arriving from the East Indies, and apprehended in September, is now aboard the Fly. He says that Hand proved his 'excellent character' by assisting in preventing the pressed men from rising, aboard HM Tender Neptune, and has also shown deserving conduct aboard the Fly. Asks that the R be struck from his name. Admiralty note on reverse says this is refused.
