Folios 335-336: Hyde Parker, HMS Tenedos, Halifax.
Captain Parker writes regarding a deserter, Michael Parker, now aboard the Tenedos. He says the man was originally with the Shannon, but became intoxicated while ashore on leave and was taken aboard a merchant brig, Parker & Sons of Halifax, bound for Quebec. From there he returned by the transport ship Edward Ellis, to Halifax, about 5 weeks afrter leaving the Shannon. She had sailed on so he immediately joined the Tenedos. Captain Parker says his conduct since has been very good and asks that the R be taken from his name. Admiralty note on rear says this is 'not a case for lenity' and that the man should have remained with the merchant brig if he found it 'preferable to his disposition'.
