Description

Folios: 244-245: Sir Peter Parker, HMS Menelaus, Plymouth Sound.

Encloses and wholeheartedly endorses the letter from his carpenter, Thomas Moore, regarding promotion. Says Moore shows 'good conduct, zeal, attention and ability' and is 'highly deserving'.

Folios 246-247: Enclosure with folios 244-2455, letter dated 21 April 1814, from Thomas Moore, carpenter, asking to be considered for a move to a larger 'class' of vessel.
