Folios 83-86. Petition of Thomas Middleton with a report from the Recorder of London. That the accused was found guilty of stealing a bag of money (to the value of four shillings), but was incapable of knowing what he was doing as he had been drinking for several hours. His sentence committed to transportation on the evidence of the petitioners friends, being tradesmen of reliable character; formerly serving His Majesty as an ensign in General Pepperall's Regiment in North America.
