Folio 66. A letter from J. Scrope, written on the 28 May 1748, at the Treasury, to Mr Aldworth, telling him that he has received a paper, that is enclosed in the letter, and that the Earl of Bedford had received from M. d'Andrade, suggesting that the Portuguese staying in England should not pay taxes, which he explains is a misunderstanding.
