Description

Envelope typed 'Tan-y-Bwlch, early years', second of two on reverse of item 49, containing ten monochrome photographic images of the Festiniog Railway at Tan-y-Bwlch, Merionethshire:

1) Cutting from unnamed publication [c.1935], photographic illustration, view of station from overbridge c.1870.

2) Postcard by Valentine and Sons, with printed caption on face and typed note on reverse, view of station from overbridge [image c.1895], 8cm x 13cm.

3) Postcard by Photochrom Company, with printed caption on face, view of station from overbridge [image c.1895], 9cm x 14cm.

4) Postcard by 'F.Moore's Railway Photographs' (Locomotive Publishing Company), view of station towards overbridge [image c.1895], 8cm x 13cm.

5) Cutting from unnamed journal, view of station from hillside [c.1900].

6) Postcard by Lloyd and Son, Portmadoc, with printed caption on face, view of station from overbridge [image c.1900], 9cm x 14cm (see also item 52).
