Envelope typed 'Desolation at Portmadoc, 1946-1954', second of two on reverse of item 39, containing two monochrome photographs, 9cm x 14cm, of Festiniog Railway at Portmadoc, Caernarvonshire, by C L Fry, Dublin, with typed and manuscript captions on reverse:

1) Station from the end of line, wagons and a carriage left to rot, 18 September 1954.

2) Opposite view towards dead end, 19 September 1954.
