Description

Envelope typed 'Miscellanea', second of two mounted on card, containing eight monochrome photographic images of the Fairbourne Railway:

1) Postcard by E C Brazier, Barmouth, with printed caption on face and typed 'F (M) R' on reverse, Fairbourne Railway 4-4-2 locomotive ['Edward Prince of Wales'] heading train at Barmouth ferry [image c.1919], 8cm x 13cm.

2) Postcard with printed caption on face and typed 'F (M) R' on reverse, Fairbourne Railway 4-4-2 locomotive ['Count Louis'] and train at Barmouth ferry [image c.1925], 8cm x 13cm.

3) Postcard with printed caption on face and typed 'F (M) R' on reverse, Fairbourne Railway Bo-Bo diesel locomotive ['Dingo'] and train at Barmouth ferry [image c.1952], 8cm x 13cm.

4) Postcard with typed 'F (M) R' on reverse, Fairbourne Railway four-wheeled diesel locomotive ['Gwril'] and train at Barmouth ferry [image c. 1952], 9cm x 14cm.

5) Postcard 'Good Luck from Barmouth' with four images of Barmouth area (one of Fairbourne Railway) printed captions on face, manuscript message and typed 'F (M) R' on reverse, postmarked 25 August 1954, 8cm x 13cm.

6) Photograph,with typed notes on reverse, seven name and works plates from Eaton Railway (Duke of Westminster) mounted on panel. Includes name plate from 'Katie', 0-4-0 locomotive sold to Fairbourne Railway, photograph by Sandys, Weston-super-Mare, January 1955, 12cm x 8cm.

7) Postcard with printed caption on face and typed 'F (M) R' on reverse, Fairbourne Railway Bo-Bo diesel locomotive ['Dingo', as rebuilt] and train at Barmouth ferry [image c.1955], 8cm x 14cm.
