Description

Envelope typed 'Miscellanea', first of two mounted on card, containing six photographic postcards of the Fairbourne Railway:

1) Colour tinted, by Renand, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, with printed caption on face and typed 'F (M) R' on reverse, horse carriage at Penrhyn Point [image c.1912] 8cm x 14cm.

2) Colour tinted, by Photochrom 'Celesque' series, with typed 'F (M) R' on reverse, 4-4-2 locomotive ['Prince Edward of Wales'] heading train at Barmouth ferry [c.1922], 9cm x 14cm.

3) Monochrome, by Valentine No W 3352, with printed caption on face and typed 'F (M) R' on reverse, train headed by 4-4-2 locomotive ['Count Louis'] at Fairbourne station [c.1950], 8cm x 13cm.

4) Monochrome, by Valentine No W 3353, with printed caption on face and typed 'F (M) R' on reverse, train headed by 4-4-2 locomotive ['Count Louis'] at Barmouth ferry [c.1950], 8cm x 13cm.

5) Monochrome, by Valentine No W 3354, with printed caption on face and typed 'F (M) R' on reverse, train headed by 4-4-2 locomotive ['Count Louis'] among sand hills [c.1950], 8cm x 13cm.

6) Colour tinted, by Valentine 'Collo Colour' No W 3354, with printed caption on face and typed 'F (M) R' on reverse, same image as 5 [c.1950], 9cm x 14cm.
