Folios 273-274: James Slade, HMS Experiment, Falmouth. Responds to receiving information that some of the men raised either voluntarily or by impress at Falmouth have had their ratings reduced and why he does not agree with the decisions and asks for instructions for the future of how to proceed. Notes that he has raised 238 men in the last 12 months at the rate of £2 13s 3d per man. Mentions Magnus Thomas and Michael Dorrill.
Folio 275: Enclosure with folios 273-274: List of men on HMS Prince Frederick in Hamoaze, 19 August 1811 who have had their rating reduced, signed by Sir James Nash, Captain of HMS Salvador, Sir James Aberdour, Captain of HMS Dispatch and Peter Fisher, Commander of HMS Prince Frederick. the men named are Nicholas Holeman, John Pope, William Trebalcock. Magnus Thomas, John Bramfield and Michael Dorrill.
