Folios 200-201: James Slade, HMS Experiment, Falmouth. Responds to a request to make enquiries into the case of William Lorey to establish whether of not he has seafaring experience. Says information was obtained from the Sergeant of the Recruiting Parry who lived in Falmouth and knew Lorey well.
Folios 202--202A: Enclosure with folios 200-201: [signature illegible], 13 August 1811 to the Admiralty. Letter enclosing affidavit of William Lorey.
Folio 203: Enclosure with folios 200-201: R Hitchens, Justice of the Peace for the County of Cornwall, Penzance, 12 August 1811. Affidavit for William Lorey, aged 21, born in the parish of Gulval stating he has never been to sea apart from a trip to London.
