Folio 176-177: James Keith Shepard. Gravesend. States the case of Thomas Wilson, impressed on 20 May 1811 by Lieutenant Petley out of the Friends of Harwich, Fishing Smack, off Gravesend, in the circumstances outlined in his reports of 20 and 29 May and 12 and 23 June.
Folios 178-179: Enclosure with folios 176-177: Thomas Wilson, Fisherman, Harwich, Essex. Petitions for the release of his son Thomas Wilson who has been impressed out the Friends of Harwich, off Gravesend, on which he was a hired hand and who is now detained on HMS Fantome off Sheerness. Says his son has a Protection and that the clearance was originally sent to HMS Edinburgh. Mentions that his son, Thomas Wilson, had previously served with the Navy, volunteering to assist bringing home the Danish fleet from Copenhagen and has never been a deserter or guilty of any misdemeanour.
