Folio 240: William Prowse, HMS Theseus. The quarterly return of officers aboard the Theseus, from 1st July to 1st October 1813. Listed: Captain Rowse; Lieutenants Alexander B. Howe, Charles D. Castle, Charles S. Ricketts, and Thomas Pickenwell; John Noble, master; William Cuthbertson, surgeon; Thomas Ricketts, purser; Michael Murphy, carpenter, James Brown, boatswain - noted 'a very fit person to be master of any of HM's small vessels'. Footnotes give Lt Adams discharged 4 October 1813, Lieutenant Gibson appointed but not yet joined, and James Bromley, gunner, and O'Neill, the Assistant Surgeon both discharged.
