Folio 108. Memorial of the London merchant Samuel Smith, contractor for escorting rebel prisoners to His Majesty's colonies. Regarding the loss of the ship the 'Veteran' which was bound for Antigua with 149 prisoners on board, and taken by the French privateer the 'Diamond' under the command of Paul Marsal, and taken to Martinique. Prays that when any sea cartel or exchange of prisoners be agreed with France, these rebel [Jacobite] prisoners will be delivered up to Mr John Chalmers his agent at Antigua.
