Folio 104. Petition of George Ramsay, wheel maker. Taking part in the siege of Carlisle [in 1745] on the rebel side, he was taken prisoner and brought to London where he was sentenced to death. His execution being postponed until November 1746, he was told he was to be transported. Asks for a pardon as to be able to support his family.
