Folio 98. Petition to Field Marshall Lord Mark Cobham from John Betterby, a dragoon in Captain Buckley's troop now under sentence of death at Bristol for accidentally killing trooper George Seeet over an argument at cards. Begs reprieve as he had served in Cobham's Regiment for seven years, was at Clifton Moor and Falkirk, and took part in the 'glorious' Battle of Culloden.
