Folios 88-95. Report from Customs House, London. Relating to information from the Collector and Comptroller of Customs at Colchester in Essex. Concerns the robbery from the King's warehouse of sixty bags (1,544 pounds worth) of tea by about thirty smugglers armed with blunderbusses and pistols, and that they had got away to Hadleigh in Suffolk by six in the morning. Reports dispatched to both Andrew Stone at the Treasury and Mr Wood Secretary to the Comptroller of Customs; complete with an advertisement in the 'gazette' for the apprehension of the said persons.
