Folios 77-79. The petition of Eleanor Connor, together with a report by the Recorder of Bristol (Sir Michael Foster). Having been found guilty at the gaol deivery session for Newgate of stealing a linen purse from Richard Hewit, the petitioner pleads her innocence of stealing £1 30s in gold and £7 15s in silver. Only travelling from London to embark with her child for Waterford in Ireland. Whereas the recorder past the sentence of death, certifying that there was little doubt that the prisoner was guilty of pickpocketing the prosecutor and his wife at the Bristol Fair.
