Injury: Right foot crushed when run over by a series of wagons. Resulted in amputation of the right leg between the ankle and knee.
Details of accident: Whilst on the tracks recording wagon serial numbers, his right boot became caught in the rails. Unable to free the foot in time it was run over by a series of approaching wagons.
