Place of accident: No 3 Tip, [Barry Docks] Glamorgan.
Injury: Right leg crushed, necessitating in amputation.
Details of accident: The ropes from a working capstan became entangled in some boards causing them to fly up. Davies was knocked towards the capstan by the boards, and his leg was crushed by the ropes against the capstan.
