Folios 218-219: Charles Phillips, Upnor, Rochester. Following experiments that have been conducted on a compass he writes to suggest a price that should be charged by Messrs Bramah. He says that at the time Sir Edward Owen was in office the price was set at 7 guineas but Phillips thinks the price charged should be nearer 5 guineas.
