Folios 371-372: William Prowse, HMS Theseus in the Downs. Captain Prowse gives detailed explanation for his return to England much earlier than expected. He was, at the request of Governor Beatson of St Helena, protecting a valuable East India Fleet which had sailed from St Helena with what Governor Beatson considered inadequate protection. He encloses copies of letters, orders given, a log of his proceedings etc. He refers to a pamphlet he includes respecting the introduction of agriculture to St. Helena. [the latter not with the rest of the documents].
