Folios 213-214: John Brett Purvis, HMS Ganymede, at sea. Information on two men listed as having run (deserted). John Selkirk, who went on leave at Plymouth in January 1812 and did not return, but joined HMS Salavador and then HMS Poictiers, to rejoin HMS Ganymede and William Biel, went on leave at Portsmouth, did not return in time but later joined the HMS Royal William for passage to return to HMS Ganymede. He asks that both these men have the R removed from their service record. Exact dates and details given on the reverse of the letter.
