Folios 211-212: Sir William George Parker, Captain, Knoyle, Shaston, Dorset. Captain Parker writes regarding George Tindale, whose friends have brought a court case against Parker for his impressment. He explains he was short handed after a few desertions and Admiral Thomas Foley had no men to give him. Also that Tindale had no documents with him, and that he was the best seaman aboard the Rinaldo, which made Parker think he had been at sea before. The Admiralty's solicitor Mr Briknell and his own lawyer, George Law of Lincoln's Inn, had agreed a settlement and Parker was to pay £56 compensation, which he asks them to reimburse, as his actions were all for the good of the service.
