Captured ship: Graaf Danneskiold of Altona formerly the Hamburg Packet (master and owner Jurgen Stockflesh aged 29) [second capture].
History: a Danish merchant ship (New England built at Boston, 200 pipes or 100 tons, guns, 7 men), bound from Tenerife to Hamburg, laden with Canary wine and Spanish dollars (the dollars, property of two Hamburg merchants, being unladen at Dartmouth); taken on 16/27 April 1747 by the privateer Swift (William Johnson commanding), and brought into the Downs.
